Ingredients:
For the cake:
- 450g flour
- 150ml milk
- 4 tbsp Jana Mezze Orange Blossom Water
- 1 packet baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 150g sugar
- 125g unsalted butter
- 1 pinch of salt
For the frosting:
- 250g mascarpone
- 250g full-fat liquid cream
- 50g icing sugar
- 1 tbsp Jana Mezze Orange Blossom Water
- 1 jar multicolored cake sprinkles
Preparation:
- Melt the butter and mix it with the milk.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and frothy.
- Add the flour, baking powder, salt, the butter-milk mixture, and the Jana Mezze Orange Blossom Water. Mix well.
- Pour the batter into a tart pan to ensure a thin layer.
- Let it rest for 15 mins, then bake for 30 mins at 200°C.
- Meanwhile, prepare the frosting: pour the cream into a bowl, then add the mascarpone, powdered sugar, and Jana Mezze Orange Blossom Water.
- Beat with a mixer until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Once the cake has cooled, cut out holes using small ramekins.
- Fill each hole generously with the frosting and finish by topping with the multicolored sprinkles.
